Do You Have a Guilty Pleasure?

Do you have a silly guilty pleasure you never tell anyone about for fear they'll laugh?
Well, on my Sunday stroll in the park with Miss Honey, I started thinking about mine.
When I was little, I loved to hear my Grandmother's grandfather clock tick-tock, tick-tocking.  And I loved to see the inside of my Grandfather's pocket watch - all the pretty jewels and gears moving. I loved the colored metals - so shiny.  Can't you tell I'm ADD?
And then, my Hunny was a computer and electronics geek before the word was ever used.  He taught me about electricity and how to strip wires and sauter.  Then, he bought me a Heath Kit to build a digital clock.  It was the kind with the big red numbers.  That was so much fun to build and see it work (for 32 years).  We kept it on the dresser across the room so when the alarm went off, we'd have to get out of bed to shut it off.

This is the one I have now.

All that said to explain that I have always enjoyed seeing a repetition of numbers.  2:22, 11:11,    2:34, or 12:34.
Lately, I had been a wee depressed, feeling like God was distant.  All I needed was a hug.  The Bible says that Jesus is the husband of the widow.  And I was feeling sorry for myself - dejected, abandoned.  Oh woe is me!
Then a few weeks ago, I woke up at exactly 3:33 AM.  Then again at 5:55 AM. This has been going on every night at different times.  What a HUG!  God is so good, and so tender in His love for us.  He tailor makes His love for each of our personalities and needs.
So I don't mind being laughed at.  I can see His love in a beautiful day in the park and the silly SHINY lights of my clock.

I hope you are hugged today by your silly guilty pleasure,
Kareen
